T.G.I.F..........

Wow where did this week go? It seems the more time I try to make for myself this quicker it gets away! I did still manage some crafting time this week which was unexpected. In hindsight it has been a particularly productive week for the Firefly Studio. Could it be the Ginkyo Biloba I've started taking to ward off some of the pesky side effects of growing old?! Hmmmm.....now that is something to consider. One per day....I wonder what I could accomplish on two a day? That is another subject all together so I will try to regain my focus.

In complete contrast to yesterday's card, todays is shabby chic. I thoroughly enjoyed using the Simply Pressed Clay. It's a little fiddly to get out of the button molds but I will take a look on youtube later for some tips! I thought the button complimented the Etcetera Designer Series Paper used. And I love the new colour palette....so fresh!

I hope you have enjoyed dropping in. Please do leave comments as I love to hear from everyone who visits! Have a wonderful weekend and I will see you soon.

Contemporary Wedding Card

Welcome Back! Today is offering me more time to create than expected. I am a happy crafter! So what have I been up to you ask? Well take a look ........

This is not my usual style but I wanted to try something different. I actually love the clean crisp look of this card and cannot wait to send it to the lucky couple. The colours aren't the typical colours you would expect to see in a wedding card but with the latest trends changing so much when it comes to wedding planning I think this fits in nicely.
If you have any questions or wish to purchase the supplies I used in making this card please contact me! I would love to hear from you. See you soon!

Venetian Romance Envelope Mini Album

G'day and welcome to the Firefly Studio. A few days ago I was asked to create something different for my upcoming classes. I put my thinking cap on , scrolled the boards of pinterest, watched a few youtube videos.........the light moment hit me! How about a simple easy to make mini album I asked myself? Why not I replied......yes these conversations really do transpire.

Since I had recently received my new pack of Venetian Romance from Stampin'UP! I decided it was the perfect paper for my mini. So with a cup of coffee in hand, laptop in the other( to see those videos again) I set off to my craft table. Here is what I came up with.......

I really like how it turned out, how about you? The best part is no measuring! Just adhere the envelopes and then the rest of the time can be spent embellishing! That's really all we want to do anyways isn't it? So another workshop project planned and on it's way! Thanks so much for stopping by. If you would like to know more about what I offer please take a look at my new Events Schedule Page. I would love to teach you how to make these projects. I am also happy to supply you with all of your Stampin'UP! products delivered to your door. You can order from me 24/7 and your order will be shipped directly to your door.

Truly Grateful........

Happy Monday and welcome! I finally had the chance to play around with my new stamp set Truly Grateful from the Stampin'UP! Autumn Catalogue. This is sure to be on my favorite's list for a very long time! I love the woodsy feel this set offers and I see it being more than an "Autumn" set.

Today I married this set along with Lovely as a Tree and here is what I created...

I've added a little of the new Burlap Ribbon for extra texture. Thinking a Maple Wreath might be next on my list of things to make for the upcoming Holiday Season. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you here again soon.

Eastern Elegance Tags

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to my studio. Those of you who know me know how I hate wasting paper. Especially when it's Stampin' UP! Designer Series Paper. So today continuing on with my studio clear out I decided it was time to use up those cut offs. You know what I am talking about, all those strips of paper that we hang on to and it accumulates into bulging binders.

Enough! Today I tackled my scrap pile head on and this is the finished project.....well one of many to come.

Recipe for these adorable little tags includes:

Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana ink pads
Smoky Slate, Coastal Cabana, Crushed Curry, Whisper White card stock
Eastern Elegance DSP
Whisper White Baker's Twine
Chalk Talk Framelits
Oval Framelits( oval punch can be used)
1-3/8" circle punch
Determination and patience  tackling that scrap pile!

I hope I have inspired you to make use of those cut offs! Please come again soon.
