Just messing around

Hi Stampers. Today I have  been messing around in my studio. Thought it was time to start making my Christmas cards for this year. I know I know! A little early but with my hectic life it's best I start now if I stand any chance at all of completing them by December. Besides it gives me an excuse to use some of the stamps that still have not even been opened!

I couldn't end my session without my daily dose of sunshine. How do you like this one?

Recognise the stamp set used in both cards? It's from Stampin Up's hostess set Simply Sketched. How different the end result is though by just changing the ink colour! This is why I love stamping so much, such variety with a single stamp.

I hope you have liked my projects and will drop in again. Have a wonderful day!

the Paper Players Challenge 193

Hi Stampers! Hope you having a great day wherever you may be. I've been busy with a few challenges this week. Today's project is my entry into this weeks Paper Players Sketch Challenge found here

I first attempted to combine entries from Fab Friday Colour with this challenge and soon found my focus is either too much or too little. I had nearly finished the colour challenge when I realised how far off this sketch challenge I had wandered! So for me I will have to learn to only enter one challenge at a time lol. So on to my entry ……

As you now see my past two projects are totally different. What was I thinking?!! Still it's a lot of fun to enter these challenges and see what everyone creates using the same criteria. I hope you've enjoyed visiting my blog today. Please leave me a comment, I really love hearing from you all! Cya soon!

Fab Friday 40 Challenge

Hi Stampers! Today's project was inspired by the Fab Friday Colour Challenge this week found here

This weeks challenge includes one of Stampin UP's soon to be retired colour.

I admit I wouldn't have thought I could come up with anything using these colours but the Fab Design Team inspired me to give it a go. Here is my entry….

I really enjoyed this challenge as I struggle at times to try something new, particularly when it comes to colour combos. I often play it safe. But not this time round! I hope you have enjoyed it and please leave me your comments. Thank you for stopping by and do come again!

Medallions, Pansies and Petite Petals

Hi Stampers and Crafters. Welcome! Today's project focuses on flowers and spring colours. I needed a "pick-me-up" with all the dreary skies we seem to be having here lately. But as they say….April Showers…..

So here are your flowers…..

I hope these have brightened your day, they have mine! Hope you will drop by again.

Card Swap Challenge

Hello! Thanks for stopping by and having a look at my swap for this months Card Challenge. I have been wanting to combine Lucky Limeade and Poppy Red and thought this was a great time to have a go!

So glad to finally have gotten my Hardwood stamp in from Stampin Up! You will be seeing a lot of this in the near future. I just love the rustic masculine effect combined with more feminine touches.

I hope you have enjoyed todays project. Please contact me if you have any questions or comments. Have a great weekend!

Fab Friday 39 Challenge

Hi Stampers! Today's project is my entry for the Fab Friday 39 Challenge found here

I am loving the Hardwood background stamp. I combined it with the woodgrain embossing folder for extra texture.

I hope you have enjoyed having a look and will be inspired to create something today. Drop in again!

Bunny Top Note Easter Box

Happy Wednesday Stampers. I've been wanting to make something extra cute for my Easter treats this year. I had a look on youtube and found this super easy top note box and immediately knew  what I wanted to create!  And this was it …….

I used the woodgrain stamp in Soft Suede and then ran the wood grain embossing folder over each top note before attaching it to the box. I distressed the edges and lightly hit the embossed lines so it would stand out a bit more.  Here is the tutorial for the box here

Next I thought I would share a few pages I recently added to my Creative Art Journal.

I hope you have a great day and will visit again soon. Cya!

My Mixed Media Mini…Day 2

Welcome Back. Beautiful Spring Day here with sunshine all around…..for the moment:-) Today I had a little time to work on my mixed media mini album. I wanted to share the progress I have made. The pictures aren't as I would have liked. I recently purchased a new Pentax and I freely admit to not knowing much about photography much less this new camera. So apologies for the lighting. The Espresso embossing looks black in the photos but it's a lovely rich brown in person.

This is what I started with today…...

I thought this coin envelope would make a nice journalling tab.

If you have any questions about the stamps, techniques or colours please contact. I would love to hear from you! Have a Happy Tuesday and come again. Cya soon!
